Katherine Amman is an LCSW and an Outpatient Therapist at Rimrock Trails Treatment Services, where she is primarily a child and family therapist working with children under 12, but she does see some adolescents. She supports clients and their parents in managing challenging behaviors and emotions which can be related to social emotional challenges, anxiety, depression, Autism, ADHD, family structure changes (such as divorce, adoption or foster care) and trauma. She loves working with parents around parenting issues. She specializes in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (for ages 2-7) which is a therapy that involves live coaching parents in skills. She also specializes in Trauma-Focused CBT, CBT, Child Centered Play Therapy and Family Systems Therapy. Katherine is confident in supporting families navigating medical, social and academic challenges as it pertains to the mental health needs of their child and their family. Katherine Amman has 10 years of experience as a therapist for children, youth and families. Katherine has 8 years of additional prior experience working with families as a parenting coach for families with DHS involvement, experience as a childcare provider/preschool teacher, a camp counselor and mentor to teen girls and now as a parent herself. She holds a Masters of Social Work degree from George Fox University.

In her free time, Katherine enjoys spending time with family, enjoying the great outdoors, dancing and being involved with her Bend community.
