Em is an Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use counselor at Rimrock Trails Treatment Services at the Bend office, where they provide individual and family therapy for youth ages 12 to 25 years old. Em has a background in outdoor experiential therapy and working in multiple residential treatment settings, where they specialized in LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, trauma-informed care, and working with neurodivergent youth. They hold a master’s degree in social work from Portland State University.

Throughout their career, Em has demonstrated a commitment to cultivating a safe, collaborative space with teenage clients to explore how to reduce shame and foster a nourishing life that allows them to connect with themselves and others positively.

In their free time, Em enjoys connecting in nature with their therapy dog, Echo, who adds a comforting and loving presence in the therapy room. You can also find them enjoying belly laughs with friends, picnicking, dancing, backpacking, and swimming in the Deschutes River
