Adolescent Residential treatment
24/7 support for teens in
Prineville
For adolescents who need more support than outpatient care can offer, our residential campus in Prineville provides structured, round-the-clock treatment in a calm, home-like setting. It is the original home of Rimrock Trails, and it is still where our most intensive work happens.
The program supports teens facing complex mental health and substance use challenges, with an emphasis on safety, skill-building, and collaboration with families. Because mental health and substance use so often travel together, treatment addresses both in one integrated plan rather than handing a teen off between programs.

OUR APPROACH
A different way to understand
behavior
Rimrock Trails uses Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), a
compassionate, strengths-based approach to
understanding challenging behavior.
We believe teens do well when they can.
CPS starts with a simple idea: challenging behaviors are often the result of lagging skills, not a lack of motivation. Rather than relying on rewards and punishment, we work with teens to identify challenges, strengthen problem-solving skills, improve communication, and repair relationships.
This trauma-informed approach gives teens and families a voice in the process while building skills they can carry with them beyond treatment.
Teens do not heal in isolation. They heal in the context of healthy
relationships - with clinicians, with peers, and above all with their
families.
