About
Anna Maldonado is an outpatient counselor at Rimrock Trails Treatment Services, where she works primarily with teens and young adults experiencing emotional, mental, and relational challenges. Anna worked in Social Work for several years before deciding to get her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Concordia University Irvine. She holds a Bachelor’s degree of Social Work from Liberty University. Anna is currently in the process of becoming a registered associate with the Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and is practicing under the supervision of Katie Keck, LMFT.
Additional experience in Anna’s career includes working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness and helping them find resources, mentoring college students who are experiencing relationship and emotional challenges and helping family caretakers of adults with disabilities plan for end-of life care. Anna has shown commitment to learning effective approaches, skills, and techniques for being a competent counselor to each client she sees. She has a passion for helping individuals and families learn practical ways to communicate and grow healthier within themselves and their relationships. Anna is particularly interested in working with people who have experienced trauma that is impacting their current relationships.
In her free time, Anna enjoys going on walks, doing puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoys a good movie and making espresso.
