Redmond is located on the eastern side of Oregon's Cascade Range, in the High Desert in Central Oregon. In the 1940s, Redmond was a U.S. Army Airbase and commercial air service was established at Roberts Field after World War II. Redmond is known as the “Hub” for its central location and the crossroads of both highways 97 and 126. The annual precipitation is only 8.88 inches and with more than 320 days of sunshine a year, the outstanding weather is just one of the many reasons why people love Redmond.
